Oil Landscapes
Whether painting plein air on location or in the studio from photos and memories, I try to remain focused on what I fell in love with that inspired me to paint the scene in the first place. That usually means capturing what is most essential, eliminating what is unnecessary and even rearranging the scene to create a more pleasing or idealized composition.
